Our History
shadesofgray was entered into a community in January of 2022 that no parent, child, grandparent, friend or family member ever wants to join. Although our journey is far from over, we are at a point in which we can begin to give back to the community that embraced us all and supported Peyton's will to live.
We called it "surthrival" at the time, attempting to not just survive but to get to a place in which we could turn the tables on this insidious disease and thrive in all of our remaining years. Surthrival is a daily mindset. And it is in the next few pages that we would like to share Peyton's story along with others who choose to share their journeys of surthrival to spread the bright message of hope.
